How to Watch IPTV on Apple TV, iPhone and iPad

To watch IPTV on Apple devices, install a player from the App Store: on iPhone and iPad, the free MYTVOnline+ app lets you paste your M3U link straight in; on Apple TV, install Hot Player or IBO Player and link it from your phone with the MAC address it shows.

Apple does not allow sideloading, so everything here comes from the official App Store — which also makes it simple.

• At least 15 Mbps for HD, 30 Mbps for 4K

Which app should I use?

iPhone and iPad: MYTVOnline+ (free)

MYTVOnline+ is the quickest way to watch on a phone or tablet: no licence, no MAC address and no website.

Install it

Open the App Store, search for MYTVOnline+ and check the developer is ATLAS LINK before you tap Get.

Add your playlist

1. Open MYTVOnline+ and tap the gear icon in the top right corner.

1. Choose Add m3u Playlist — not Add Portal, which is for a different kind of subscription.

1. Enter any Playlist NickName, paste your M3U link into Playlist URL, leave the optional fields empty and tap Connect.

Apple TV: Hot Player or IBO Player

On Apple TV you watch with the Siri remote, so a TV-style player is better.

Step 1: Install from the App Store

On the Apple TV, open the App Store, search for Hot Player (check the developer is STE DIGI VIBES) or IBO Player, and select Get.

Step 2: Note the MAC address

Open the app. Its first screen shows a MAC address (and, for IBO Player, a device key). Take a photo — this is the app's code, not your Apple TV's network address.

Step 3: Link your subscription from your phone

• Hot Player: hotplayer.app/upload → MAC address → Source Link → paste M3U link → Save. Guide: How to activate Hot Player.

Close the app on the Apple TV (double-press the TV button and swipe it up) and reopen it.

Troubleshooting

MYTVOnline+ says the playlist failed to connect

Paste the M3U link exactly as in your email (it is case-sensitive), make sure you chose Add m3u Playlist and not Add Portal, and check on your account page that the subscription is active.

Hot Player on Apple TV shows no channels

The playlist is not linked to that MAC address yet, or the app was not restarted. Re-enter the MAC exactly as shown, save, and force-close the app before reopening it.

Buffering on Wi-Fi

Apple TV 4K has an Ethernet port on most models — use it. Restart the router and check no one else streams on the same line. More: IPTV buffering: what actually works.
