Yes, you can watch IPTV on Roku. Add Hot Player from the Roku Channel Store like any other channel, write down the MAC address it shows, and link your M3U playlist at hotplayer.app/upload from your phone. The whole thing takes about 10 minutes.
Roku is stricter than other platforms: it cannot install apps from outside its own store — no APK files, no Downloader. Many older guides suggest screen mirroring or "developer mode" hacks; you do not need any of that, because Hot Player is published in the official store.
It works on Roku Streaming Sticks, Roku Express, Roku Ultra and TVs with Roku built in (TCL, Sharp, Philips, Hisense Roku TV and others).
What you need
- A Roku device or Roku TV, connected to the internet
- An IPTV subscription — or a free 24-hour test, no card needed
- Your M3U link (in your delivery email and on your account page under Subscriptions)
- A phone or computer for the final step
- At least 15 Mbps for HD, 30 Mbps for 4K
Which IPTV player works on Roku?
On Roku we use Hot Player, published by DIGI VIBES SARL. IBO Player is not available in the Roku Channel Store. Note that on Roku the app is called Hot Player — on Samsung, LG and VIDAA the same app is listed as "Hot IPTV".
Step 1: Open the Roku Channel Store
Press Home on the Roku remote, scroll down the left menu and choose Streaming Store (called Streaming Channels or Channel Store on older software).
Step 2: Search for Hot Player
Choose Search Channels and type Hot Player.
Step 3: Check the developer
Open the listing and check it is published by DIGI VIBES SARL. Ignore look-alikes with similar names.
Step 4: Add the channel
Select Add channel. Enter your Roku PIN if asked. When it is added, select Go to channel. It now appears on your Roku home screen like Netflix or YouTube.
Step 5: Write down the MAC address
Hot Player shows a MAC address on its first screen. Take a photo — it is the app's own code, not the network address of your Roku.

Troubleshooting
Hot Player is not found in the Roku store
Check the spelling and your Roku account's country — the store differs by region. If it is still missing, a Fire TV Stick in another HDMI port is the most reliable alternative.
"Channel not supported" or it closes straight away
Update your Roku (Settings › System › System update › Check now), restart it (Settings › System › Power › System restart) and open Hot Player again.
Video stutters
Roku Express models on weak Wi-Fi struggle with HD streams. Move the router closer, use a Roku with Ethernet (Ultra or Roku TV), and check nobody else watches on the same line. See IPTV buffering: what actually works.
FAQ
Can you sideload apps on Roku?
No. Roku only installs channels from its own store. That is why Hot Player — which is in the store — is the way to watch IPTV on Roku.
Does IBO Player work on Roku?
No, IBO Player is not available in the Roku Channel Store. Use Hot Player.
Can I screen-mirror IPTV from my phone to Roku instead?
You can, but the quality is worse and your phone has to stay on. Installing Hot Player directly on the Roku gives a much better picture and uses the TV remote.
Does it work in 4K on Roku?
Yes, on a 4K Roku (Streaming Stick 4K, Ultra or a 4K Roku TV) with at least 30 Mbps, where the source is in 4K.
