This page explains the cookies and similar technologies used on poktv.com, what each one does, and how to change your choices. It complements our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file a site stores in your browser. We also use local storage, which works the same way for our purposes. Some are strictly necessary for the site to function; others are optional and only set once you agree.
2. Cookies we use
Strictly necessary
These keep the site working and cannot be switched off. Under EU rules they do not require consent.
| Name | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|
| Session / authentication | Keeps you signed in to your account and secures the session. | Until you sign out |
| Language preference | Remembers which of our five site languages you chose. | Up to 12 months |
| Checkout state | Carries your selected plan and coupon through the payment flow. | Session |
| poktv_consent | Stores your answer to the cookie banner so we stop asking. | 6 months |
| poktv_chat | Recognises you in the support chat so your conversation carries on across pages and visits. Set only if you write in the chat. | 12 months |
Analytics
Optional. We count page views and referrers to understand which pages help people and which do not. Set only after you accept.
| Name | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|
| Visitor analytics | Aggregate visit statistics (pages viewed, country, referrer, device type) used to improve the site. | Up to 13 months |
| Third-party analytics tags | Any measurement tag configured by us, for example Google Analytics, loads only with your consent. | Set by the provider |
3. Changing your mind
You can reopen the cookie banner and change your choice at any time:
You can also delete cookies or block them entirely in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop parts of the site — such as signing in and checkout — from working.
4. Third parties
Payment pages are served by our payment providers, who set their own cookies to process the transaction and prevent fraud. Those cookies are governed by their own policies. Our support chat assistant sends the messages you write in it to our AI provider so it can answer you; it stores no cookie until you open it.
